John Baptist Nambeshe is a Ugandan politician currently serving as a Member of the 11th Parliament of Uganda representing Manjiya County in Bududa District. He holds the position of Chief Whip of the opposition and serves as the Deputy President of the National Unity Platform (NUP) for the Eastern Region. Previously a member of the National Resistance Movement, Nambeshe gained prominence for his opposition to the removal of presidential age limits in 2017 before joining the NUP. His career includes service as a local government chairperson and a background in social sector planning and management.
