Joost van Oostrum

Joost van Oostrum is a Dutch politician and biologist currently serving as the Mayor of Berkelland, a position he has held since 2014. A member of the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD), he previously served as the Mayor of Rhenen from 2007 to 2014. Before his mayoral career, Van Oostrum was active in local government in Houten, where he served as a council member and alderman. He holds a degree in biology from Utrecht University and has held various professional roles in market research and data processing.
