Josh Shapiro

Josh Shapiro is an American politician and lawyer serving as the 48th Governor of Pennsylvania since 2023. A member of the Democratic Party, he previously served as the Attorney General of Pennsylvania from 2017 to 2023 and as a member of the Montgomery County Board of Commissioners. Earlier in his career, he represented the 153rd district in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. Shapiro is known for his work on criminal justice reform, including his high-profile investigation into sexual abuse within the Catholic Church, and his focus on bipartisan consensus-building throughout his career in public service.
