Joshua Watkins

Joshua Jedidiah Watkins is an American politician serving as a member of the Kentucky House of Representatives for the 42nd district since January 2025. A member of the Democratic Party, he was elected unopposed in the 2024 general election following the retirement of incumbent Keturah Herron. In November 2025, Watkins was appointed to serve as the House Minority Whip, a leadership position within the Democratic caucus. He represents a portion of Jefferson County and continues to serve in the state legislature.
