Josie Osborne

Josie Osborne is a Canadian politician currently serving as the Minister of Health in British Columbia. A member of the New Democratic Party, she has represented the electoral district of Mid Island-Pacific Rim in the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia since 2020. Before entering provincial politics, she served as the mayor of Tofino from 2013 to 2020, where she was notably the first Green Party-affiliated mayor in Canada. Her professional background includes work as a fisheries biologist for the Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council and as an environmental educator. Throughout her career, she has focused on issues such as affordable housing, land stewardship, and resource management.
