Kang Seok-joo is a South Korean politician currently serving as the Mayor of Tongyeong. He previously served as a member of the South Gyeongsang Provincial Council for three terms and held the office of Mayor of Tongyeong from 2018 to 2022. After an unsuccessful bid for the National Assembly in 2024, he was re-elected as the Mayor of Tongyeong in 2026. Kang is a member of the Democratic Party of Korea and has focused his career on regional development and local governance in the Tongyeong area.
