Kariela Aray is a Venezuelan politician and member of the Warao indigenous community, currently serving as a deputy in the National Assembly of Venezuela. She has held significant roles in indigenous advocacy, including serving as the president of the Indigenous Parliament of Venezuela. A member of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), she previously worked as the head of the Regional Institute for Indigenous Care in Delta Amacuro and served as the sole authority for the Ministry of Indigenous Peoples in the same state. Her political career is characterized by a strong focus on the rights of indigenous women and the promotion of the Bolivarian Revolution.
