Koichi Kasai is a Japanese politician currently serving his third term as a member of the House of Representatives. Born in Nagaoka, Niigata, he graduated from the University of Tokyo with a degree in applied physics and previously worked as an engineer at Panasonic, where he specialized in car navigation systems. Entering politics, he was first elected in 2021 and later joined the Center Reform Alliance in 2026, where he serves as the Acting Chairman of the Election Strategy Committee. Kasai advocates for Japan to become a nation driven by human resources and scientific technology. His policy priorities include the legalization of same-sex marriage, the ratification of the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons, and the development of support systems for traffic accident victims and young carers.
