Kassim Majaliwa

Kassim Majaliwa is a Tanzanian politician who served as the Prime Minister of Tanzania from 2015 to 2025. Born in the Lindi Region, he began his career as a teacher and trade union leader before entering parliament in 2010 representing Ruangwa. He also served as Deputy Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office for Regional Administration and Local Government before being appointed prime minister by President John Magufuli.
