Katja Pähle

Katja Pähle is a German politician and member of the Landtag of Saxony-Anhalt, where she has served as the chair of the SPD parliamentary group since 2016. Born in Wippra in 1977, she holds a doctorate in sociology and previously worked as a research associate and ministerial advisor. A member of the SPD since 1999, Pähle has held various leadership roles within the party, including serving on the federal executive board and the party presidium. She is recognized for her focus on health and social policy, having led negotiations in these areas at the state and federal levels.
