Katrina Jackson

Katrina Jackson is an American attorney and politician serving as a member of the Louisiana State Senate for the 34th district since 2020. Previously, she served in the Louisiana House of Representatives from 2012 to 2020, where she chaired the Louisiana Legislative Black Caucus. Jackson is noted for her socially conservative stance on abortion, having authored significant legislation to restrict abortion access in Louisiana, including the 2022 trigger law that increased criminal penalties for providers. She holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Louisiana at Monroe and a Juris Doctor from the Southern University Law Center.
