大部勝規

Katsunori Obu is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Takahagi in Ibaraki Prefecture. Born in Takahagi in 1958, he graduated from the Faculty of Law at Komazawa University. Before entering politics, he worked for the Takahagi City Housing Corporation and later served as a municipal official, holding various leadership roles including head of the Mayor's Office and director of the Secretarial and Public Relations Division. He was first elected mayor in 2018 after campaigning on platforms such as reviewing local development projects and tax-funded initiatives. He has since been re-elected, securing his third term in 2026.
