Katsunori Ono is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Okegawa City in Saitama Prefecture, a position he has held since 2013. Born in Okegawa in 1968, he previously worked as an entrepreneur before entering local politics. He served as a member of the Okegawa City Council and the Saitama Prefectural Assembly prior to his election as mayor. During his tenure, he has focused on local historical preservation, such as the restoration of the former Okegawa Flight School, and introduced a partnership oath system for same-sex couples in 2021. He is also known for his frequent appearances in the annual Saitama Charity Music Festival.
