久保田桂朗

Katsurao Kubota is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Iwakura in Aichi Prefecture. Born in 1961, he graduated from the Aichi Institute of Technology and began his professional career as a civil servant at the Komaki City Hall. Before his election as mayor, he served as the Deputy Mayor of Iwakura from 2013 to 2016. First elected as mayor in 2017, he has since secured re-election multiple times, including a third term in 2025. During his tenure, he has focused on municipal administration and implemented measures such as salary reductions for city officials to fund local COVID-19 countermeasures.
