川合孝典

Takanori Kawai is a Japanese politician serving as a member of the House of Councillors, currently in his third term. Born in Kyoto, he graduated from Ritsumeikan University and began his career at Teijin, where he became active in labor union leadership. He is a prominent representative of organized labor, particularly within the UA Zensen union. Throughout his parliamentary career, Kawai has focused on social security, labor policy, and economic reform, advocating for policies that prioritize the well-being of workers and small-to-medium enterprises. He has held various leadership roles within the Democratic Party for the People, including serving as the party's acting secretary-general and chair of the Minsha Association.
