Kei Yamamoto is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Katano, Osaka. After graduating from Osaka Toin High School and Wakayama University, he founded an IT company before working at Shinkin Central Bank and Nomura Securities. He began his political career as a member of the Osaka Prefectural Assembly and later served two terms as a member of the Katano City Council.
