Keiichi Suzuki is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Higashine in Yamagata Prefecture. Born in 1965, he spent his professional career as a municipal employee in Higashine, holding various administrative roles including head of the Lifelong Learning Division, Commerce and Tourism Division, and Health and Welfare Department. In April 2025, he was appointed as Deputy Mayor. Following the sudden death of his predecessor, Seigo Tsuchida, in April 2026, Suzuki ran for the mayoral office and was elected unopposed in May 2026, assuming office on May 31, 2026.
