Kenjiro Koshida is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Kawanishi, Hyogo Prefecture. Born in Kawanishi, he began his political career as a city council member in 2002, becoming the youngest in the country at the time. He later served as a member of the Hyogo Prefectural Assembly before being elected mayor in 2018. During his tenure, Koshida has focused on fiscal reform, including salary reductions for city officials, and has promoted progressive social policies such as the introduction of a partnership oath system for same-sex couples.
