笠井喜久雄

Kikuo Kasai is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Shiroi in Chiba Prefecture. Born in Shiroi, he graduated from Chuo University's Faculty of Commerce in 1982. Before entering politics, he had a long career as a civil servant within the Shiroi municipal government, eventually serving as the Director of the General Affairs Department. He was first elected as mayor in April 2019 after running unopposed and was subsequently re-elected to a second term in 2023, also without opposition. His administration focuses on local municipal governance and community development.
