杉本基久雄

Kikuo Sugimoto is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Makinohara in Shizuoka Prefecture. Born in 1957 in what is now Makinohara, he spent his early career as a local government official, holding various administrative roles including head of the urban development division and general affairs director before becoming the city's deputy mayor in 2013. He was first elected mayor in 2017 and has since secured re-election, most recently winning a third term in October 2025. His administration focuses on local municipal governance and regional development within Shizuoka.
