Kim Pate is a Canadian politician and advocate who has served as a senator for Ontario since 2016. Before her appointment to the Senate, she was a prominent human rights activist and served as the executive director of the Canadian Association of Elizabeth Fry Societies. Throughout her career, she has focused on the rights of marginalized women, particularly those within the criminal justice system. In 2014, she was appointed a member of the Order of Canada for her dedicated work in legal advocacy and research. As a senator, she continues to champion justice reform and is a member of the Canadian Pride Caucus.
