Representing the 2nd Barnstable District, he assumed office after defeating incumbent Will Crocker in the 2020 general election. Prior to his political career, Diggs was a successful professional welterweight boxer, holding both North American Boxing Federation and International Boxing Organization titles with a career record of 30–5.
