Kitila Mkumbo

Kitila Alexander Kanyama Mkumbo is a Tanzanian politician and academic who currently serves as a Member of the National Assembly for the Ubungo constituency. He holds a PhD in psychology from the University of Southampton and has an extensive background in education and social sciences, having served as an adjunct professor at the Tumaini University Dar es Salaam College. In addition to his legislative duties, he has held various government roles, including Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Water and Minister of Industry and Trade. In 2023, he was appointed to the ministerial position of investments and planning within the President's office.
