Koel Mallick is an Indian actress and politician who currently serves as a Member of the Rajya Sabha, representing West Bengal. Before entering politics, she established a prominent career in Bengali cinema, earning critical acclaim and numerous awards, including the Mahanayak Samman. A graduate in Psychology from the University of Calcutta, she is also recognized for her social activism, particularly her work supporting widows and children. She was sworn into the Rajya Sabha in April 2026.
