Chikage Koga is a Japanese politician and former educator serving as a member of the House of Councillors. Born in Kurume, Fukuoka Prefecture, she graduated from the Kumamoto University Faculty of Education and spent many years working as a teacher in public schools. Throughout her career, she was deeply involved in the Japan Teachers Union, eventually serving as a special central executive committee member. In 2022, she was elected to the House of Councillors under the Constitutional Democratic Party banner as an organization-endorsed candidate for the Japan Teachers Union. She currently focuses on education and science policy, serving on the Committee on Education and Science.
