Ákos Szabados is a Hungarian politician and educator who has served as the Mayor of Budapest's 20th District, Pesterzsébet, since 1998. Originally a member of the Hungarian Socialist Party (MSZP), he served as a Member of Parliament from 2002 to 2009. After leaving the MSZP in 2015, he has continued to lead the district as an independent candidate with the support of Fidesz. Throughout his tenure, he has focused on urban development, including infrastructure improvements, environmental programs, and social support for the elderly and families.
