Kristina Ikić Baniček

Kristina Ikić Baniček is a Croatian politician who served as the Mayor of Sisak from 2013 to 2025. A member of the Social Democratic Party of Croatia (SDP), she previously held positions as a councilwoman in the Sisak-Moslavina County Assembly and the Sisak City Council. Educated in sociology and croatology at the University of Zagreb, she began her professional career as a counselor for EU funds at the Croatian Mine Action Centre. Throughout her political career, she has been a vocal advocate for anti-fascist values and has frequently engaged in public debates regarding Croatian political discourse and historical memory.
