冨高国子

Kuniko Tomitaka is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Saiki, Oita Prefecture. A graduate of Oita University's Faculty of Education, she began her career as an elementary school teacher in 1979. She previously served one term as a member of the former Saiki City Council and was active in local volunteer organizations. After an unsuccessful bid for mayor in 2021, she was elected as the first female mayor of Saiki in April 2025, campaigning on a platform that emphasizes incorporating women's perspectives into municipal administration and child-rearing support.
