He entered politics in 2000, serving as a county councilor before being elected to the Chamber of Deputies in 2012 and subsequently to the Senate in 2016, 2020, and 2024. Throughout his parliamentary tenure, he has held leadership roles in various committees, including transport, labor, and social protection, and has been an active member of the Democratic Alliance of Hungarians in Romania.
