Laurent Duporge

Laurent Duporge is a French politician who served as the Mayor of Liévin from 2013 to 2026. A member of the Socialist Party, he succeeded Jean-Pierre Kucheida and was re-elected in 2014 and 2020 with significant support. During his tenure, he focused on the revitalization of the territory following the decline of the local coal mining industry, including the promotion of the Louvre-Lens museum's storage facilities within the commune. He also served as a departmental councilor for the canton of Liévin and held various roles within the Agglomeration community of Lens-Liévin.
