Leah Howell

Leah Howell is an American politician serving as a member of the Kansas House of Representatives for the 82nd district. She first entered the legislature in 2022 as a temporary replacement for Blake Carpenter during his military leave of absence. Later that year, she successfully ran for election in her own right, defeating her Democratic opponent with 65% of the vote. Howell, who is married to Sedgwick County Commissioner Jim Howell, has served on several committees including Federal and State Affairs, and Corrections and Juvenile Justice.
