Lee Yang is a Taiwanese politician and former professional badminton player who currently serves as the inaugural Minister of Sports of the Republic of China. Before entering government, he achieved international acclaim as a badminton athlete, becoming the first player in history to win consecutive Olympic gold medals in men's doubles, securing titles at both the 2020 Tokyo and 2024 Paris Olympics. Following his retirement from professional sports in 2024, he transitioned into public service, assuming his cabinet-level ministerial role in September 2025.
