Lena Diab is a Canadian politician serving as the Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship since 2025. A member of the Liberal Party, she has represented the riding of Halifax West in the House of Commons since 2021. Prior to her federal career, Diab served in the Nova Scotia House of Assembly from 2013 to 2021, where she held several cabinet positions, including Minister of Justice, Attorney General, and Minister of Immigration. Born in Halifax to Lebanese immigrant parents, she is a lawyer by profession and a long-time community leader in Nova Scotia.
