Lieke Schuitmaker

Lieke Schuitmaker is a Dutch politician currently serving as the Mayor of Alphen-Chaam, a position she has held since January 2023. Before her mayoral appointment, she was active in local politics in Drimmelen, where she served as a municipal councilor and later as an alderman and deputy mayor. Her professional background includes work with the European Cultural Foundation, the European Parliament, and the European Commission. Schuitmaker holds a degree in European Studies from the University of Amsterdam.
