Lin Tai-hua

Lin Tai-hua is a Taiwanese politician and a long-serving member of the Legislative Yuan, representing the Democratic Progressive Party. Born in 1972, she began her legislative career in 2002 and has been repeatedly re-elected to represent Kaohsiung City. Her academic background includes degrees from Fu Jen Catholic University, the University of Wisconsin–Madison, the University of Kassel, and a Ph.D. from National Taipei University. Throughout her career, she has focused on regional development and urban-rural co-prosperity. In early 2025, she became the subject of a legal investigation regarding allegations of expense fraud and the misuse of her position to solicit corporate sponsorships, for which she was released on bail.
