Linda M. Lopez

Linda M. Lopez is an American politician and businesswoman who has served as a member of the New Mexico Senate for the 11th district since 1997. A member of the Democratic Party, she has held the position of chair of the Senate Rules Committee and previously served as the chair of the Bernalillo County Democratic Party. Throughout her legislative career, Lopez has advocated for renewable energy mandates, increased funding for early childhood education, and the implementation of body-worn cameras for law enforcement. She has also been a vocal supporter of abortion rights and has sponsored various social and economic reform initiatives in New Mexico.
