Lindsey Graham is an American politician and attorney serving as the senior United States Senator from South Carolina, a position he has held since 2003. A member of the Republican Party, he previously served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1995 to 2003 and the South Carolina House of Representatives from 1993 to 1995. Before his political career, Graham served in the U.S. Air Force as a member of the Judge Advocate General's Corps and later in the Air Force Reserve, retiring with the rank of colonel. Known for his neoconservative foreign policy views and advocacy for increased defense spending, he has been a prominent figure in national politics, including chairing the Senate Committee on the Judiciary from 2019 to 2021.
