Lucian-Ioan Rus is a Romanian politician currently serving as the Mayor of Deva, having assumed office in October 2024. A member of the Social Democratic Party (PSD), he secured his position after winning the local elections held on June 9, 2024, marking the first time in over twenty-five years that the municipality has been led by a representative of his party. Prior to his election as mayor, he gained administrative experience serving as a secretary of state.
