Lucy Akello

Lucy Akello is a Ugandan politician and social worker currently serving as a Member of Parliament for the Amuru District Women's Constituency. A member of the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC), she previously worked for ten years with the Justice & Peace Commission, focusing on human rights and reconciliation in Northern Uganda. Akello first entered parliament in 2014 following a special election and has since been re-elected. She is known for her conservative stance on social issues, including her advocacy for the Anti-Homosexuality Act.
