Maarten Divendal

Maarten Divendal is a Dutch politician and former administrator who served as the Mayor of De Ronde Venen from 2011 until his retirement in November 2025. A member of the Labour Party (PvdA), he previously held various local government roles in Haarlem, including serving as an alderman and deputy mayor from 2004 to 2010. Before his political career, Divendal worked as a social-cultural worker and held several communications positions within the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science.
