Maja Wallstein is a German politician serving as a member of the Bundestag since 2021. Born in Cottbus, she studied Polonistics at the University of Potsdam and the Jagiellonian University. Before her election to parliament, she worked as a parliamentary advisor and as an expert on political communications and research policy at the Helmholtz Association. In the Bundestag, she serves on the Committee on Education, Research and Technology Assessment and acts as her parliamentary group's spokesperson on research policy. She is also involved in working groups focused on strategies against right-wing extremism and serves on the board of the German Foundation for Peace Research.
