Mala Roy

Mala Roy is an Indian politician serving as a Member of the Lok Sabha for the Kolkata Dakshin constituency since 2019. A member of the All India Trinamool Congress, she previously served as the first female Chairperson of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation starting in 2015. Throughout her career, she has been a councillor for ward no. 88, where she gained recognition for her environmental initiatives, including transforming the area into the city's greenest ward. Roy has held various political affiliations throughout her career before rejoining the Trinamool Congress in 2015.
