Maqueen Letsoha-Mathae

Maqueen Joyce Letsoha-Mathae is a South African politician serving as the 8th Premier of the Free State. A member of the African National Congress, she has been a member of the Free State Provincial Legislature since March 2023. Prior to her current role as Premier, she served as the Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Community Safety, Roads and Transport from March 2023 until June 2024. In October 2024, she faced allegations of corruption regarding a road contract, which she continues to navigate while in office.
