Marialuisa Forte

Marialuisa Forte is an Italian politician currently serving as the Mayor of Campobasso, a position she assumed in June 2024 as the first woman to hold the office. Prior to her political career, she had a long professional background in education, working as a humanities teacher and school administrator before serving as the provincial school superintendent of Campobasso starting in 2018. In November 2024, she was also appointed Vice President of the National Association of Italian Municipalities (ANCI) with a delegation for the Mezzogiorno region. She represents a center-left coalition including the Democratic Party, the Five Star Movement, and the Green and Left Alliance.
