Marian van der Weele

Marian van der Weele is a Dutch politician and administrator who has served as the Mayor of Waterland since March 11, 2021. Before her current appointment, she held various roles in local government, including serving as a municipal councilor and faction leader for Democrats 66 in Ouder-Amstel, as well as working as an alderman and deputy mayor. Her professional background includes experience as a project manager and project leader in the education and non-profit sectors. She holds degrees in English and European studies from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and the University of Amsterdam.
