Mario Simard is a Canadian politician and former political science lecturer who has served as a Member of the House of Commons of Canada for the riding of Jonquière since 2019. A member of the Bloc Québécois, he previously worked as a press secretary before entering federal politics. During his parliamentary career, he has served as a critic for intergovernmental affairs, natural resources, and energy within the Bloc Québécois Shadow Cabinet. In 2025, he was elected as the vice chair of the Canadian House of Commons Standing Committee on Natural Resources.
