Mario Simard is a Canadian politician and member of the Bloc Québécois who has served as the Member of Parliament for the riding of Jonquière since 2019. Before entering federal politics, he worked as a political science lecturer and press secretary. During his parliamentary career, he has served as a critic for intergovernmental affairs, natural resources, and energy within the Bloc Québécois Shadow Cabinet. In 2025, he was elected as the vice chair of the Canadian House of Commons Standing Committee on Natural Resources.
