Mark Costello

Mark Costello is an American politician serving as a member of the Iowa Senate, representing the 8th District. Born in Omaha, Nebraska, and raised in Imogene, Iowa, he earned a degree in computer information systems from the University of Northern Iowa. Before his legislative career, he worked as a computer analyst and later managed his family farm. Costello first entered public office in 2013 as a member of the Iowa House of Representatives before winning a special election to the Iowa Senate in 2014. Throughout his tenure, he has held leadership roles on various committees, including serving as chair of the Ethics Committee and the Health and Human Services Appropriations Subcommittee.
