Mark Pol is a Dutch politician and political scientist who has served as the Mayor of Texel since December 20, 2023. A member of the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD), he previously held local government positions in Almere, where he served as a municipal councilor from 2010 to 2013 and as an alderman from 2013 to 2018. Before his appointment as mayor, he worked as a government advisor. His current mayoral mandate follows his nomination by the Texel municipal council and subsequent appointment by Royal Decree.
