Mark David Shelton is an Australian politician serving as a member of the Tasmanian House of Assembly for the division of Lyons. First elected in 2010, he has been re-elected multiple times, consistently increasing his primary vote. Throughout his career, Shelton has held several significant roles, including serving as the Speaker of the Tasmanian House of Assembly from 2017 to 2018 and again from 2021 to 2024. He also served as the Minister for Police, Fire and Emergency Management and Minister for Local Government within the Hodgman and Gutwein Liberal governments. Prior to his state parliamentary career, he served as the Mayor of Meander Valley starting in 2003.
