Marta Farrés

Marta Farrés is a Spanish politician who has served as the Mayor of Sabadell since June 2019. Affiliated with the Socialists' Party of Catalonia (PSC) since 2003, she previously held roles as a local councilor and deputy mayor in the city between 2003 and 2015. Farrés holds a degree in Political Science and Administration from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, as well as a master's degree in Mediation. After losing a primary election in 2015, she returned to lead her party to victory in 2019 and secured an absolute majority in the 2023 local elections.
